On April 24, the Renmin University of China North America Alumni Association and the Hangzhou Renmin University Alumni Association signed a strategic cooperation agreement at the Alumni Station in Zheshang Development Building, Hangzhou. They announced the establishment of a strategic partnership to further strengthen the alumni network and promote the interconnection of resources and opportunities between China and the United States. Wu Yafeng, President of the North America Alumni Association, and Zhang Feng, President of the Hangzhou Alumni Association, attended the signing ceremony.

The Renmin University of China North America Alumni Association was established in 2015, with its operating headquarters in New York City and a member network spanning major cities in the United States and Canada. The mission of the alumni association is to provide a platform for alumni to connect and share, and to create more cooperation and development opportunities for global alumni.

The Hangzhou Renmin University Alumni Association was founded in 1986. Through 38 years of development, its organization has continuously grown and improved, forming a significant social influence. The alumni association is committed to resource integration, accelerating value creation, and empowering alumni development to expand social contributions.

Given that the two associations share the same origin and roots, possess strong complementary resources, and align in their development philosophies, through friendly consultations, they decided to establish a permanent cooperative institution. This aims to strengthen personnel mutual visits and exchanges, and focus on boosting interactive cooperation between the two associations and their alumni in advantageous productive factors such as scientific and technological innovation, finance, talent resources, and law.

Following the signing ceremony, Wu Yafeng, Zhang Feng, and several alumni held a small-scale symposium, where they introduced the resource advantages and characteristics of their respective alumni associations and discussed specific potential cooperation projects.
