About Us

The RUC North America Alumni Association (RUC NAAA) is a nonprofit organization built on alumni ties. It was incorporated in the State of Delaware in June 2015 and recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization in March 2018. Headquartered in New York City, its member network spans major cities across the United States and Canada.

Our mission is to build a platform where alumni connect with and share with one another, and to create more opportunities and channels of mutual benefit and career development for alumni around the world. We are also committed to creating opportunities and platforms that foster exchanges between China and the United States.

Letter from former President Jimmy Carter to the RUC North America Alumni Association, December 15, 2018 (opens the full scan)
It was very difficult to imagine that 40 years ago, elite Chinese universities like RUC could establish such active and robust alumni association in America. Your association is a testament to how far China has advanced, and what can be achieved when a nation invests in education.
— Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter, in a letter to RUC NAAA, December 15, 2018

Our association is still young. We are working hard to earn the trust of our alumni through dedication and service. What we pursue is not personal gain or reward, but a place built to serve alumni, where each person's contribution is recognised and valued. May we gather the strength of our alumni and make the association a bridge of friendship, a platform of resources, a channel of exchange and a harbour of warmth.

RUC NAAA is governed by a Board of Directors and a Management Committee. The current Chairman is Mr. Li Deshun (Dawson Lee) and the President is Mr. Wu Yafeng.

In May 2025 our alma mater named RUC NAAA an "RUC Outstanding Alumni Organization", an honour renewed in May 2026.
