In the traditionally male-dominated world of Wall Street finance, women—and women from minority backgrounds in particular—face challenges and competition that are not difficult to imagine. The pursuit of greater diversity and inclusion remains very much a work in progress.
Yet we are proud to see a remarkable group of women alumni from Renmin University of China making their mark in this world.
They are grounded and practical, embodying RUC’s spirit of seeking truth from facts. They live with purpose, building rich and fulfilling lives far from home. And they are fearless, continually challenging themselves and breaking through barriers in the workplace.
They stay true to their original aspirations and remain deeply committed to their communities. In doing so, they have become inspiring role models for younger alumni who dream of pursuing careers in finance.
They are, in every sense, our modern-day Hua Mulans.
As the United States celebrates Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day approaches, the RUC North America Alumni Association is pleased to host this special event, bringing together four outstanding women alumni who have distinguished themselves in the financial industry.
They will share their personal journeys on Wall Street, offer their perspectives on working in the U.S. financial industry, and showcase the experiences and achievements of women in finance. Most importantly, they will offer valuable insights and lessons to younger alumni who aspire to build careers in the financial world.
