The RMB internationalization with a steady pace has attracted the attention of the international community in the past few years amid China's economy growth and status enhancement. What is the progress on RMB internationalization that has been made? What is the impact of “One Belt and One Road” initiative on RMB internationalization? What is the prospect for RMB to join the currencies basket in the reform of IMF's SDR? What is the impact on the world economy of the recent changes in the RMB exchange rate control mechanism made by the People’s Bank of China (PBOC)? More importantly, what are the opportunities and challenges that the RMB internationalization would bring to the world?

To answer these questions, we are pleased to announce that the Conference on RMB Internationalization: Opportunities and Challenges will be held at New York Hilton Midtown in Manhattan, New York City, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm on October 8, 2015.

The conference will be sponsored by the International Monetary Institute (IMI) of Renmin University of China (RUC), and co-sponsored by RUC North America Alumni Association (RUC NAAA), Center for Global Business Studies at Pennsylvania State University (CGBS) and Official Monetary and Financial Institutions Forum (OMFIF). The conference will be mainly attended by the representatives from international organizations, financial institutions, universities, think tanks, and corporations. Dozens of major global media, major Chinese media, local Chinese newspapers and new media will cover this conference.(More Detail please click here).
